Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and proactive Cybersecurity Engineer to strengthen Mawaba Technologies’ cloud and enterprise security posture on a global scale.
You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security solutions across hybrid environments, protecting applications, infrastructure, and data against emerging cyber threats.

The ideal candidate possesses deep technical expertise, hands-on experience with modern security tools, and a proactive approach to automation, risk management, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement end-to-end security infrastructure covering both cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits to identify and remediate risks.
  • Monitor systems for suspicious activity or intrusion attempts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight, or equivalent).
  • Develop and implement security policies, standards, and best practices aligned with Mawaba’s global governance model.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, AI, and software development teams to integrate security principles by design.
  • Manage and optimize security solutions for endpoints, networks, and cloud environments (firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP, WAF, EDR, etc.).
  • Investigate, contain, and resolve security incidents while producing detailed, actionable reports.
  • Support and maintain compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, GDPR, PCI-DSS).
  • Automate threat detection, monitoring, and incident response using scripts or orchestration tools.

    • Ideal Candidate Profile

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
    • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity engineering or information systems security.
    • Solid understanding of networking, operating systems (Linux/Windows), and cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
    • Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, SIEM, and DLP.
    • Proficiency in scripting/automation languages ​​(Python, Bash, PowerShell) for incident response. and monitoring.
    • In-depth knowledge of encryption standards, Identity and Access Management (IAM), and authentication protocols (OAuth, SAML, MFA).
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
    • Professional certifications a plus: CISSP, CEH, CISM, OSCP, CompTIA Security+, or cloud certifications (AWS / Azure).
